SOUTH AFRICAN STEAM: Shunting at Malmesbury after West Coast trip: Ceres Rail Company's "DOMINIQUE". On the weekend of 18-20 August, 2017 the Ceres Rail Company (CRC) hosted a West Coast Flower season Steam trip starting and ending at the Royal Yacht Club in Cape Town. The route went via Malmesbury on the Klawer line stopping at Graafwater for the 1st evening, from where passengers were shuttled to hotels in either Clanwilliam or Lamberts Bay. The next day, after the passengers returned to the train, the steam trip continued north as far as Klawer, which last saw steam in 2002. The train turned around at Klawer, again overnighting at Graafwater. Oil-burner 19D no 3322 "DOMINIQUE" was in charge of the 7-coach train.
