Actually in Kaiserreich, the 1917 revolution in Russia still happened. Then it start to diverge from our reality around 1919-1920 when the German Empire decided to directly intervene in Russian civil war and successful assassination of Lenin. The same goes as fractured China in Kaiserreich. It start to diverge from our reality when 1926 northern expedition failed due to German intervention against KMT.

Try monarchist Texas in kaiserredux. If you get lucky or unlucky depending on your perspective, you can join the reichspakt, don’t join 2nd Weltkrieg, and if the Germans lose, you get their government in exile and basically can turn into German America. It was a very interesting and incredibly hard play through for me but I found it fun.
