I have both: Penny upsides- Portable Carver better because of a shorter wheelbase Lighter Nickel upsides: Larger trucks for grinds Larger wheelbase for more controlled carving Larger deck for easier fliptricks Larger tail for more pop Just generally easier to trick and skate Also if u use a street skate board this will be much more familiar to you compared to a penny

I have a custom penny and it came with the grip. The only downside is that idk if this has to do with the manufacturing but the grip doesn’t line up with the holes and sometimes it unsticks

c'mon, now consider some tips by a girl who bought w/ her own money: good points: grip tape will give u better adhesion. its helpful give u some support when doing tricks other way: will destroy your shoe faster rain's gonna bother u in some freaking ways will look dirty and u cant clean w/ water (duuh) after some time ur grip starts to loose adhesion then u have to buy a new one (at least its cheap) that's it.
