The thing about this game is that there was no indication at halftime of what was about to happen. Duke was up 7, Carolina had only scored 23 points and you figured the Blue Devils would open up a lead, coast in the second half and win by 10-15 points like they usually did in the second round of the tournament. The Gamecocks exploding for 65 points in the second half and running away with the game was not on anyone's bingo card.

Does the NCAA realize how big of a deal the 2024 NCAA Championship game will be since it will be taking place during the April 8, 2024 Eclipse? The great American eclipse will be going directly over Syracuse New York 21 years and a day after Carmelo led the Orangeman to a championship in 2003 over the Kansas Jayhawks. The day after April 8, 2003 I almost died where the St. Joe and St. Mary's Rivers meet in Ft. Wayne. A series of strange events occured after getting out of the River which culminated with meeting a man at named OZ at St. Joseph Hospital. I call that day, the day I walked the yellow brick road. On the exact 21 year Anniversary this Eclipse will take place.
