We normally have dogs, but the circumstances on this trip resulted in only one dog coming. I totally agree though, dogs are a huge help!

Hunting without a dog, Wow! So difficult on retrieves.

It sure is difficult! Definitely prefer to hunt over a good bird dog.

how do you find these public areas in South Dakota
@TheBucketBoysIA2 ай бұрын
We mostly hunted private ground on this trip; however, we located the public pieces using OnX.

South Dakota has a hand book and a " public hunting atlas". These booklet are available where licenses are sold. The booklet is broke down in sections of the state. I am not sure but the atlas maybe on the state website. I been using this booklet for 15 years now.
