Hello! Yes, we are in Bandung! We actually got to Bandung and then ticket sales for the brand new HSR Whoosh Bullet Train opened on the KCIC app so we jumped on the opportunity to test it out!
This train is incredible, it cuts down the transit time of around 4 hours with transport down to less than 1 hour, reaching speeds of 350km/h!!
The tickets are currently on sale for 150k with a normal price of 300k for premium economy class, hopefully, they work out a system for people who will be using this service often or some sort of multi-trip card to make the cost cheaper.
We booked our tickets through the KCIC Whoosh app, it was incredibly simple and showed us available seats, plus you don't need to worry about printing tickets, etc.

Wrong. Japan investigated the project and pulled out of the deal after the offered budget wasn't enough. China could make it work for the budget, but we all know how Chinese products work lol. Japan's construction is top tier; they've ran bullet trains for 57 years without a single accident. Let's just hope there aren't any fatal accidents in the future for Indonesia.

That is some kind of made-up BS LoL - the Germans don't make any of the Chinese trains. The Chinese first generation bullet trains, CRH1, 2, and 5, were licensed local productions of the German ICE3 and a Japanese model, but the Chinese production has max speed of 250 instead of the ICE3's 230. Beginning with the second generation, CRH3xx, it is Chinese patented technology at max speed 350 km/h - there are no German or Japanese trains at that operation speed. The newer Gen3 models reached 380 max speed. There are no German or Japanese design elements beginning with this generation. The 3rd generations are the CRH400xx models, with max speed 400km/h. The one imported by Indonesia is among the CRH400xxx model. Do your homework before you post in public channels :). Also for your education, China has two production bases, one on the north, one in the south.
