The South East Jaguars will square off against the Palisades Dolphins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South East is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 29 points per game this season.
Palisades is hoping to do what Legacy couldn't two weeks ago: put an end to South East's winning streak, which now stands at three games. South East took down Legacy 26-9.
South East found their leader in sophomore Edward Rivera, who rushed for 202 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Rivera is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 119 every time he's taken the field this season.
Rivera was just one part of a punishing run game: South East was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 222 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 222 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Palisades got themselves on the board against Hamilton on Friday, but Hamilton never followed suit. They took their game with ease, bagging a 42-0 victory over the Yankees. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Dolphins just coasted through the last quarter.
Jack Thomas was his usual excellent self, throwing for 180 yards and four touchdowns while completing 86.7% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Palisades also got a significant boost from Deveron Kearney, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 90 yards.
