Ran it with my brother in 83, 84, and 85. 12 ft raft, wood oars home welded oar locks and wood frame. one bailed and one rowed almost all the time. Most memorable trip.

Studying all of my topo maps that I read like people read books. For some reason I was unaware of the South Fork Salmon and Middle Fork Payette! Damn it's good to live in Idaho, best whitewater state and deepest canyons. Now I have to get out and actually float Salmon Forks, Payette Forks, Rapid, Deadwood, Lochsa, Selway, Snake, Bruneau-Jarbridge and Owyhee! Although the North Fork Payette and South Fork Salmon look like a certain swim. But that Middle Fork Salmon and Impassable Canyon look stunning.
