I know those were hard rapids but you made them look easy

I think we did the first raft descent of the South Fork by raft in 83, 84 and 85. 12 foot Avon Adventurer with wood oars and frame. Not many people there in those days. It was and remains a beautiful river. Wish I could go back one more time.

The lower part Fall Creek 3 rapid reminds me a bit of Green Wall rapid on the Illinois River in Oregon, except with the big wall on the left bank instead of the right.

Hell yeah! We launched the same day as you guys we were the big group of SOTARS.

You guys had a bunch of sweat lookin boats! Did you run Hettinger / Greyhound right down the middle like we did in the video? Wondering if there's a better line for that one.

@@zebbreuckman Thank you! We ran Hettinger down the middle same as you guys. A friend of ours flipped on the left wall once so now we only go down the middle. But it looks like with a little more water you can just stay on the right the entire time and not have to make that cut back move.

Favorite river of all time I think. I went on a raft-supported trip running a Mad River ME. In an open boat, you treat large waves as rocks, and then back ferry on the back side to line up your next approach. Oh, and treat every hole with respect unless you feel like doing an epic surf while your kayaking buddies sit in an eddy and laugh.

Sounds awesome, I bet that was a wild ride! That river has plenty of rocks to avoid in it already, even without having to dodge the big waves

Great video and I agree a fantastic river. Unfortunately, posting video footage of an otherwise quiet, but most amazing river will surely bring many more people to check it out. I don't mind sharing, but such beauties are few and far between. We can expect an increase in crowds in the coming years. Sharing your footage is great, please consider sharing privately with your mates rather than advertising for the world at large
