1. Varca Beach
One of the best stretches of sand in the south of Goa awaits… Located north of Cavelossim, Varca is a very quiet beach with only a handful of shops and restaurants, certainly offering a getaway from the hustle and offer a kind of holiday experience.
2. Martin's Corner
Established in the year 1989, Martin's Corner in Betalbatim, Goa is a top player in the category of SeaFood Restaurants in the Goa. This well-known establishment acts as a one-stop destination servicing customers both local and from other parts of Goa. Over the course of its journey, this business has established a firm foothold in its industry. 3. Colva Beach
Colva beach stretches for around 2.4 km, part of a beach consisting of about 25 km of powder white sand, lined along its shore by coconut palms, and extending as far as Bogmalo Beach to the north and Cabo de Rama Beach to the South Goa’s coastline. Colva is now a famous tourist destination, enjoyed for its beach. The tourist industry is well developed with many budget hotels, guest houses, beach shacks, food stalls, small restaurants and pubs and bars, although these developments haven’t extended to any large degree to the nightlife. The beaches are constantly monitored by lifeguards and the swimming areas are flagged with coloured flags accordingly. Being one of the famous beaches of Goa, this beach is highly crowded most of the time of the year. With a majority of its visitors being domestic Indian visitors this beach is mostly neglected by foreigners.
4. Netravali Falls
Not many people would have heard of Netravali Falls, as it is located inside the Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary. To reach the waterfall, you will have to undertake a 3 kilometres trek inside the sanctuary, along with a guide.
The waterfall is located in the middle of a dense forest. It is an exceptionally beautiful sight to come across, as the waterfall sharply cuts its way through dense forests & gently empties into the lake at the bottom.
The water of the lake is greenish but very clean & perfect for enjoying a bath, swimming or a dip. The environment around the waterfalls is calm, cool & pleasant. You should remember though, that locally, these waterfalls are popularly known as “Savari Falls”, and not Netravali Falls.
To reach this waterfall, you will first have to reach the main gate of Netraval National Park, which is located about 2 hour's drive from Margao city. From there, you will have to leave your vehicle & walk for about 15-20 minutes. Upon arriving, you will have to descend about 200 steps.
5. Bubbling Lake
Famous by many names like Budbud, Bubble Lake, and Budbudyachi Tali, the Netravali Lake is located in the serene and peaceful village of Netravali. The lake is popular for its bubbles that rise continuously to the surface of the lake. You will be surprised to see that the bubbles also respond to different sounds and rise faster if you clap.
It is not actually a lake but more of a pond, with granite steps leading towards it. A huge granite pedestal is a present right in the centre of the lake. There is a temple dedicated to Lord Gopinath located nearby the lake and hence, it is also a place of religious significance.
