Korean reunification is a load of horseshit - South Korea doesn't have the financial means for reunification, their middle-class is barely getting by with one of the highest suicide rates in the world - South Korea refuses to take over 200,000 Koreans that fled to China as refugees during WWII - It's not in US or Japan's best interest to have a unified Korean peninsula, US would lose military control of the area, Japan's leverage over the region would diminish - Koreans that make it to South Korea face constant barrage of discrimination from South Koreans and are ill-equipped for success There were chances for reunification, violent or peaceful, they were neglected and ignored
