When we impeached the former President Park Geun Hye in 2016, we took to the street in the GwangHwamoon Square area every Saturday for more than 5 months, which led to her impeachment after all. At that time, for people gathered for rallies, there were hundreds thousands of people, sometimes more than 2 millions at its peak. No violence at all, only chanting. Thus in Korea people even bring their children and toddlers to the rallies, let them witness history unfolding.

South Korea's opposition National Assembly is a force under orders from China and North Korea. A number of opposition parties are trying to impeach President Yoon and create anarchy. These are the forces that have been impeached 23 times. Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the opposition party, is definitely the one to dedicate his country to China. He's a criminal who needs to be arrested, but he's holding on.

Because martial law was peaceful. No one died, no one hurt , the media in Korea not telling the truth to Koreans also to the foreign media. They disturb Koreans to think right. President never dreamed communist or being dictator. It have been already so many communist culture leaking in to korea slowly. It has been almost a decade. Lot ppl got brain washed. But this was not lead by president . This is whole play is getting rolled by opposition party trying to take over power and invent their own world.

Nowadays, it seems that mainstream media are influenced by radical leftists and supporters of the CCP and North Korean regimes. This allows them to mobilize large groups to challenge the president and the judiciary. Additionally, many Chinese foreign students, temporary workers, and both legal and illegal migrants are often seen at these political protests. As a result, these protests appear peaceful because violence isn’t necessary. In the past, before these groups gained influence over Congress, mainstream media, and many social activist organizations, their protests were much more violent. This situation can be seen as a conflict between a Pro-CCP Assembly and a Pro-USA President.

The impeachment indictment, drafted by the opposing parties, says President Yoon's Japan-centric foreign policy increases the risk of war and threatens South Korea's national security. This is one of the main reasons for President Yoon to be impeached according to the impeachment indictment. President Yoon has been putting great effort into strengthening the Korea-US-Japan security alliance. Do you believe the closer cooperation between South Korea, Japan, and the United States could increase the risk of war and threaten South Korea's national security?

When bombings sacrifice their own lives to achieve a certain goal by harming or killing more people, they are often motivated by reckless acts based on religious beliefs. However, in the case of the Republic of Korea, we can see the shameful method of mobilizing the military and using force as collateral to achieve political greed. On the other hand, our forefathers, the independence fighters, sacrificed their precious lives for the safety of the Republic of Korea and the freedom and peace of the oppressed people, even in the precarious situation of the Wind Lamp. We must remember that their sacrifice was only an act of sacrifice for the independence of the Republic of Korea and its people, and it is a noble achievement that no one dares to evaluate or explain

On December 3rd, South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol declared martial law in response to what he described as a parliamentary budget cut terrorism and a series of impeachment attempts that paralyzed state governance. The declaration was also made to facilitate an investigation into alleged election fraud by the National Election Commission. However, the martial law was peacefully and democratically resolved within six hours, with no injuries or abuses reported among the public. Initially, the abrupt declaration of martial law caused public confusion. However, once the public understood the President’s intentions and motivations, many accepted that he exercised his constitutional authority responsibly and temporarily. In fact, the martial law declaration has brought to light the dominance of the majority party, the Democratic Party of Korea (DPK), and their alleged legislative dictatorship through unchecked control of 190 parliamentary seats. The DPK has faced criticism for what some perceive as ‘legislative terrorism’, including over 22 impeachments requested since President Yoon took office. As a result, many key government positions, including ministers of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Ministry of National Defense, the Korea Communications Commission, and many others, remain vacant. This ongoing crisis has caused significant administrative and public security voids. Furthermore, the DPK is accused of abusing its majority to shield its leader, Lee Jae-myung, from legal scrutiny despite multiple corruption charges and allegations. Lee Jae-myung, the DPK leader, is currently on trial for over 12 charges, including major corruption scandals such as the Daejang-dong and Baekhyeon-dong development cases, illegal funding through Seongnam FC, perjury, election fraud, misuse of public funds, and illicit transactions with North Korea. Notably, he has already received a guilty verdict in one of these cases. While some international media may portray him positively, most South Koreans reportedly support his prosecution. The DPK has also been accused of obstructing governance by slashing next year’s budget for critical areas like special investigative activities by prosecutors and police, the presidential office’s operational budget, and programs supporting vulnerable populations, such as funding for medical residents, underprivileged children, and student scholarships. Consequently, public sentiment has shifted towards understanding the President’s rationale for the martial law declaration, with growing awareness of allegations of election fraud. Suspicion about the National Election Commission, which has not undergone a single state audit since introducing electronic vote counting machines in 2002, continues to grow. Citizens are demanding clarity on the legitimacy of past elections, particularly in light of international concerns about election manipulation involving electronic voting machines, made in Korea, in countries like Kyrgyzstan, Congo, Iraq, and Romania, as well as reported interference from foreign actors like the Chinese Communist Party in elections in Australia, Canada, and the U.S. Despite these concerns, South Korean media largely remains biased toward the Democratic Party, failing to adequately represent public voices. Moreover, online discourse has been stifled, with expressions like "election fraud" censored, and citizens advocating for transparency reportedly being intimidated with accusations of treason. The opposition party has escalated tensions by accusing President Yoon of "treason" for invoking martial law, a constitutional authority, and has conducted raids on the presidential office on December 11. Critics argue these actions are politically motivated and divisive, exacerbating national instability and undermining liberal democracy, which is the ideological foundation for the Republic of Korea. Regardless of the charges imposed by South Korea's media and opposition parties, until the Constitutional Court delivers a ruling, Yoon Suk Yeol remains the President of the Republic of Korea, elected by the people through a democratic vote. We urge international media not to rely solely on South Korea’s partisan domestic press. Instead, we call on you to conduct balanced and fact-based reporting to provide a more accurate representation of the current situation in South Korea.

The Republic of Korea is a Western ally of the United States, but approximately 30% of its population is reportedly aligned with pro-China, far-left ideologies. The parliament is largely dominated by a pro-China, far-left party that is perceived to act against South Korean interests. The recent failed martial law attempt by President Yoou appears to be a desperate effort to secure the future of a freedom-loving Korea and to maintain a strong alliance with the U.S. This situation has arisen largely due to the negligence of the Biden administration, which has allowed the pro-China far-left party to operate without restraint, thereby deepening concerns about the security of the Korea-U.S. alliance. What would basic human rights mean for us if Korea ceases to be a free country under Chinese rule or the control of a group of thugs in the current Parliament who do not respect the rule of law? This situation is a calculated failure by President Yoon, serving as a wake-up call to the Trump administration: there will be no alliance with the U.S. if the current state of Korea continues. Look at the impeachment motion against President Yoon. The South Korean pro-China, pro-North Korea, pro-Russia National Assembly says it will impeach President Yoon every week under the charge of insurrection. They aim to erase President Yoon's achievements of the anti-China, South Korea-US-Japan alliance and plunge Korea into the abyss of pro-China, pro-North Korea, pro-Russia, dragging it into the turmoil of war. America, if you do not prevent the impeachment of President Yoon and fail to address Chinese spies among the political factions in Korea, you will realize that the South Korea-US-Japan alliance will end sooner than you would believe possible.

I understand the strong emotions and concerns surrounding the political situation in South Korea, especially regarding the geopolitical implications for the U.S.-South Korea alliance and regional stability. However, this narrative may oversimplify a complex situation and could benefit from a more nuanced view. Let me address a few points: Pro-China and Far-Left Influence: While it’s true that South Korea’s political landscape includes a range of ideologies, categorizing 30% of the population as 'pro-China, far-left' may not accurately reflect the diversity of opinions within South Korean society. Many South Koreans support policies aimed at balancing relations between major powers, including China and the U.S., to secure economic and strategic stability. This doesn’t necessarily equate to being 'pro-China' or 'anti-U.S.' Parliament and National Interests: The assertion that the parliament is acting 'against South Korean interests' is subjective and contentious. South Korea is a democratic republic, and its elected representatives reflect the will of its people. Debate and opposition, even to the president, are part of a functioning democracy and do not inherently indicate disloyalty or alignment with foreign adversaries. Martial Law and President Yoon: The failed martial law attempt by President Yoon has drawn criticism because it bypassed democratic norms and institutions. While some may view this as a desperate measure to protect national interests, many South Koreans saw it as a threat to democracy itself. A strong alliance with the U.S. and the preservation of freedom in South Korea depend on adherence to democratic principles, not on authoritarian measures. Blame on the Biden Administration: The U.S. has historically refrained from direct intervention in South Korea’s domestic politics, respecting its sovereignty. While there is room for diplomatic engagement, holding the Biden administration solely responsible for South Korea’s internal political dynamics overlooks the complexity of the situation. Impeachment as a Democratic Process: Calls for impeachment, while contentious, are a legal mechanism in South Korea’s democracy. If the president is impeached, it will be through constitutional and judicial processes, not arbitrary actions. To frame it as an 'insurrection' undermines the legitimacy of democratic checks and balances. The Alliance and Regional Security: The South Korea-U.S.-Japan alliance remains strong, but alliances thrive when built on mutual respect for democratic values. Casting doubt on South Korea’s commitment to this alliance oversimplifies a situation that requires diplomacy and collaboration rather than divisive rhetoric. Ultimately, the strength of the U.S.-South Korea alliance lies in shared values, including democracy, rule of law, and mutual respect. While it’s important to address external threats, doing so should not come at the cost of undermining democratic principles. Constructive dialogue and support for South Korea’s democratic processes are key to maintaining regional stability and a robust alliance.
@jongsukpark
@jongsukpark 3 күн бұрын
While the Democratic Party of Korea (DPK) has been criticized for its policies and approach, labeling it as "pro-China" or "far-left" oversimplifies its position in the political spectrum. Let’s clarify: Where the DPK Stands: The DPK is generally positioned as a center-left party, advocating for progressive policies like increased social welfare, labor rights, and environmental sustainability. While it supports diplomacy with North Korea and China, this approach is primarily aimed at economic and regional stability rather than alignment with their political ideologies. Calling the DPK “pro-China” misrepresents its policy priorities. While it has advocated for a balanced approach to U.S. and China relations, this reflects South Korea’s strategic position rather than ideological alignment with China. Labor, Socialist, and Communist Parties in Korea: Far-left ideologies, including labor-oriented socialist and communist parties, are nearly nonexistent in South Korea today due to strict anti-communist laws and historical sensitivities. Parties explicitly promoting communist ideals have been banned, such as the dissolution of the Unified Progressive Party in 2014. The Justice Party is the closest party to the left spectrum in South Korea, positioned as a center-left to left-wing party. It advocates for social justice, workers' rights, and progressive reforms but does not espouse socialist or communist ideologies. Far-Left vs. Current Political Landscape: Genuine far-left parties, which would focus on radical wealth redistribution, nationalization of industries, or revolutionary policies, do not exist in South Korea’s mainstream political environment. The dominant political divide is between center-right (People Power Party, PPP) and center-left (DPK), with the Justice Party as a smaller, progressive force. The Danger of Mislabeling: Mischaracterizing the DPK as “far-left” or “pro-China” not only distorts the political reality but also undermines the complexity of South Korea’s democracy. While the DPK’s policies may not align with everyone’s views, they operate within the bounds of a democratic framework and reflect the diverse voices of their constituents.
