It's kinda messed up. In one of the first lines, when Kenny is about to push the botton, it says something about finally being free. Then, when he's falling into hell, a line says something about you thought you were gonna wake up in bed. This is a nod toward Kenny thinking he might be free from the endless cycle of dying, but when he's falling in hell, the second line shows us he got what he want. Of course not in the way wanted, but he still wouldn't wake up in that bed again. Clever, but like i said, kinda messed up

This is pretty much the only version. James Hetfield sang it uncredited, and almost didn’t get to sing it at all because Paramount has its own record label and they have a policy about not releasing music outside their label roster. Trey did a version that he says was pretty identical to James when they thought there was a real chance they wouldn’t get Hetfield at all.

Gandhi was a remarkable man who did a lot of good, but he wasn't the perfect saint that some people make him out to be. He had a lot of personal problems, usually concerning how he got along with his family, and became extremely estranged from at least one of his sons. Maybe it's something having to do with that? Parker and Stone probably just threw him in for laughs, because of how unexpected the sight of him in Hell would be (Similar to why some 'SP' episodes show Princess Di also in Hell).
