In an interview a few years back, Trey Parker and Matt Stone said that their partnership working on South Park together and being super best friends was basically like a "marriage" at that point. I notice that Kyle, Cartman, and Stan were treating their own rocky "broship" like it was a divorce and Kenny was their kid. The episode actually made me worried that they were preparing us for the end of South Park because... well, I hate myself for saying this because it sounds very strange, but... Maybe whatever was going on between Matt and Trey brought them to think they would never be as close as they once were, and to quote Cartman, "the magic is broken", so their own actual broship may have been coming to an end. In the episode, they were just trying to do what's best for Kenny as though he was their child, so what if at this point, they're just doing episodes to end it by the end of season 30 because it's again, "what's best" for South Park, as though the show is like raising a kid to grow up and it's in the last few stages of growing up before it's completely out of their hands. Just a theory.

We did return to normal. The post-pandemic normal, after every life shattering event a new normal is created that we go to. Post WW2, the normal was the Cold War, that wasn’t normal before, before 9/11 the tsa and war on terror wasn’t normal, afterwards it was. Nothing stays the same, “normal” is always subject to change. I haven’t watched the special yet, but seeing that bit about the designated time with Kenny… it just got me… I lost my best friend, of almost 20 years, and I blame myself for not designating more free time to be with him, and like it was my fault for not being there as a friend. We only got to see each other one time during the pandemic… and that was it… we were both just too busy, and we vowed to stay safe, because I didn’t want to get him or his family sick… I lost other friends, family, and coworkers, and I can reassure anyone, it felt bittersweet when I got vaccinated, because I reflected on everyone that’s been torn apart, everywhere, as the needle hit my skin… I even had someone say “The people that get the vaccine early are assholes…” at work, and it made me feel guilty, because I was able to be vaccinated earlier, from all of my health issues… I didn’t even want to tell anyone that I was fully vaccinated, long before it became a mandate at my job, because I felt like I’d done something wrong… I feel so bad, just for surviving this whole thing… it’s hard to level with that reality, sometimes… just… be thankful of everything you have, and realize that those of us that worked and survived this whole thing… there will never be a “normal” for people like me, who worked from the start of the pandemic, to now… The hatred, instability, the arguments, the sheer tension between total strangers, the terror of praying you don’t lose your job/coworkers due to an outbreak, the constant safety checks, the anguish of planning activities like grocery shopping or appointments, and the constant mandates and changes that seemed to happen day-to-day… Just… I pray, in the future, historians will know people like me did their best, and we all had the same goal: get back to “normal”, even though, realistically, we knew things would never be the same again…

According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway because bees don't care what humans think is impossible. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Ooh, black and yellow! Let's shake it up a little. Barry! Breakfast is ready! Ooming! Hang on a second. Hello? - Barry? - Adam? - Oan you believe this is happening? - I can't. I'll pick you up. Looking sharp. Use the stairs. Your father paid good money for those. Sorry. I'm excited. Here's the graduate. We're very proud of you, son. A perfect report card, all B's. Very proud. Ma! I got a thing going here. - You got lint on your fuzz. - Ow! That's me! - Wave to us! We'll be in row 118,000. - Bye! Barry, I told you, stop flying in the house! - Hey, Adam. - Hey, Barry. - Is that fuzz gel? - A little. Special day, graduation. Never thought I'd make it. Three days grade school, three days high school. Those were awkward. Three days college. I'm glad I took a day and hitchhiked around the hive. You did come back different. - Hi, Barry. - Artie, growing a mustache? Looks good. - Hear about Frankie? - Yeah. - You going to the funeral? - No, I'm not going. Everybody knows, sting someone, you die. Don't waste it on a squirrel. Such a hothead. I guess he could have just gotten out of the way. I love this incorporating an amusement park into our day. That's why we don't need vacations. Boy, quite a bit of pomp... under the circumstances. - Well, Adam, today we are men. - We are! - Bee-men. - Amen! Hallelujah! Students, faculty, distinguished bees, please welcome Dean Buzzwell. Welcome, New Hive Oity graduating class of... ...9:15. That concludes our ceremonies. And begins your career at Honex Industries! Will we pick ourjob today? I heard it's just orientation. Heads up! Here we go. Keep your hands and antennas inside the tram at all times. - Wonder what it'll be like? - A little scary. Welcome to Honex, a division of Honesco and a part of the Hexagon Group. This is it! Wow. Wow. We know that you, as a bee, have worked your whole life to get to the point where you can work for your whole life. Honey begins when our valiant Pollen Jocks bring the nectar to the hive. Our top-secret formula is automatically color-corrected, scent-adjusted and bubble-contoured into this soothing sweet syrup with its distinctive golden glow you know as... Honey! - That girl was hot. - She's my cousin! - She is? - Yes, we're all cousins. - Right. You're right. - At Honex, we constantly strive to improve every aspect of bee existence. These bees are stress-testing a new helmet technology. - What do you think he makes? - Not enough. Here we have our latest advancement, the Krelman. - What does that do? - Oatches that little strand of honey that hangs after you pour it. Saves us millions. Oan anyone work on the Krelman? Of course. Most bee jobs are small ones. But bees know that every small job, if it's done well, means a lot. But choose carefully because you'll stay in the job you pick for the rest of your life. The same job the rest of your life? I didn't know that. What's the difference? You'll be happy to know that bees, as a species, haven't had one day off in 27 million years. So you'll just work us to death? We'll sure try. Wow! That blew my mind! "What's the difference?" How can you say that? One job forever? That's an insane choice to have to make. I'm relieved. Now we only have to make one decision in life. But, Adam, how could they never have told us that? Why would you question anything? We're bees. We're the most perfectly functioning society on Earth. You ever think maybe things work a little too well here? Like what? Give me one example. I don't know. But you know what I'm talking about. Please clear the gate. Royal Nectar Force on approach. Wait a second. Oheck it out. - Hey, those are Pollen Jocks! - Wow.

It's nice to be reminded of how bleak things looked for a long time, and to finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. It's hard to say that it's all done and over now. But it does feel that if this isn't "normal" now, then what is?
@mikemikemikemikemikemeup2 жыл бұрын
It’s funny I know this video was made a year ago but to me the message you got out of this episode doesn’t really apply to everyone. Where I live everything is back to normal. Yes there are people that died during the lockdowns But people are always going to die either unexpectedly or from natural causes like old age. For some people this may have completely changed their family dynamic but for me not much has changed. And I think for many other people not much has changed also. I think it’s weird to equate going back to normal and life changing because a thing happened in the world or to you. Of course the world is different since the lockdowns but literally every event that has ever happened in the world has slowly changed the world. But for the most part everything has gone back to “normal” in my life and many others. At least where I live we can go anywhere we want and people either wear masks or they don’t wear masks depending on what they wanna do. I guess if you live in a place where they’re still taking the virus extremely cautiously then maybe your life hasn’t gone back to normal. And if you lost a loved one then of course your life was changed. But just because your life has changed doesn’t mean everyone’s has. I didn’t watch this episode but I feel like they should’ve tackled that side of the pandemic as well. There’s two sides to every coin.

Ehh it's been What 2 years. Pandemics like this Last on Average about a decade Maybe 2. At some Point it will be over. It won't be normal at least it won't feel that Way but it will be over.

That’s how much viruses are. The flue is a good example of a disease that constantly mutates so that’s why we get shots every year. So covid is going to be like the flue soon. You could argue that it already is to a certain extent. It’s just that the fucking media keeps harping on it to fear monger and get more viewers.

@@TheRandomMuffinMan Your body doesn't completely shut down from the flu, not even when it first came around, there's perfectly healthy young adults in a coma for weeks because of corona on its' own, with the flu at least it needed an extended period of time before it would lead to totally seperate complications that could lead to a comatose state, you can't compare the two at all. It's like comparing a featherweight boxer to a heavyweight boxer, it just doesn't work like that.
@TheRandomMuffinMan3 жыл бұрын
@@deathbunny3048 You completely misunderstood what I was saying. I was saying how like every year you will get a shot for the flu. You will most likely be doing the same with Covid. You will be getting a shot every year for Covid from now on. I wasn't comparing what is more deadly, but that alone.
People act like what they called "normal" was good. It wasn't, it sucked.

Just because you don't like it doesn't mean others don't either dude. Take your meds.

Though it can feel hard, God will always be there. God had freed us from Covid. We will see the good in it one day.

Sorry anti social here, the only thing I didn’t enjoy was school when cOVID-19 started about half way through senior year. Besides that I was fine, for others called it bullshit, for some took it to serious about. In my opinion it’s either fake/fabricated or it’s real and it’s too weak at this time. if it was me in a lab, it’s in its infancy of affecting anybody besides the elderly.

But my life before the pandemic was literally just the same as it is now during the pandemic. I lived my life by quarantine rules. I never went out, i never socialized, i never partied, i never did anything but watch movies, anime, cartoons and play games on my consoles or PC's so this changes nothing for me. I've also ALWAYS wanted to wear a mask out in public for no reason other than, "Why the hell not" because i don't like my face. This pandemic allows me to actually do that without being looked at like i'm insane. I also don't get billy clubbed or shot at when going into the bank anymore when wearing one either. so . . .yeah.
