My theory is, Cartman decided to live a life that would most annoy Kyle. And as it was shown in the series, nothing seems to make Kyle more miserable than seeing his old antagonist genuinely happy and living as a devout Orthodox Jew.

Stan and Kyle aren’t perfect copies of them, they’re their own characters even if there’s some inspiration in design/dynamic (though the latter seems more in early seasons than the modern show where Stan and Kyle have extensively changed to make them more unique and developed from each other)

This entire series appears to be a timeline that Kenny wanted to clean up, obviously. The fact that the happy go lucky Stan turns into the anthesis of his kid self, while Cartman also does a full 180 on his child self seems to suggest by the end of the series, the adult South Park Characters are going to have to finish Kenny's research and attempt to clean up the time line. There's the trick. In the end, it will likely end in a way that Post-Covid timeline is erased, but not before the future professor Chaos leave Butters with some really big acts of evil for him to do, leading to a different time line that the adult South Park kids will have to clean up in a future series.

I've theorized that Butters is both the doctor and the patient. There's no way Butters would get no screen appearance at all in the first act. Then we get this random ass doctor who seems to have an 'interesting' take to him (the doctor could have been any generic doctor otherwise). It becomes the classic take on the old saying "the patient running the asylum" and that's such a South Park thing to do.

i definitely feel that cartmen turned jewish because of the easter episode where at the end he told kyle he truly believes in his religion. i think it stayed with him after all those years and he tried to hide it by ripping on kyle harder but since the falling out he ended up following the path because he had no other choice, he was dealing with his anxiety or depression i forgot which one it was that made him put the box over his head... but maybe it all got to him after the falling out of the friend group and he had no where to turn but to religion.

My theory is that this time skip episode takes place in a parallel/alternate universe where COVID tore them apart as kids and therefore they grow up apart from each other. Cause I know in season two of South Park there is a episode where two parallel versions of Stan and Kyle come to South Park to retrieve a version of cartman that is nice instead of rude. Although there is always the possibility that this is all just South Park being South Park, but they have been creating connected story related episodes ever since season 17. So this timeline could always be something they expand upon in a future season of South Park, if they ever decide to revisit the grown up versions of these characters again. Speaking of South Park seasons, I wonder when season 24 of south park will be on Blu-ray 🤔 Also the whole thing about who killed Kenny, for some reason it reminded me a little bit about the two part episodes of who shot mr burns from the Simpsons😂 One more thing, since it looks like Kenny went back in the past, than maybe part two of this will be about what Kenny did in the past from his perspective 🤔
