Yeah its a dolphin, which he mentions during the sequence... it comes near the boat at 10:06... and then passes under the boat again at 10:10...

record attempts and you didn't have a backup gun loaded and ready? why not?

Rules around records mean you have to load the gun yourself, and as explained - Rochelles gun can only be loaded out of the water through it's somewhat complicated winch mechanism. Would be nice to have two identical guns, but we only had one of this calibre, the second shot gun was far smaller and much less powerful.
