South Sudanese are good innocent people. Thank you for the video because most of us who are abroad would like to keep speaking our languages including the beautiful Arabic Juba we created for our own use. I hope you are not teaching some racist idiots both Arabs and Whites who would like to speak Arabic Juba for their own gain.

I didn't know that south sudan arabic was so difficult :O you are arabic christians right? I mean most of the population of the country. And by your voice it sounds you have the same accent that african countries which speak bantu languages ( i mean, swahili, zulu, xhosa, kongo...) but speaking arabic, lastly, is arabic the most common language on south sudan?

@amarosea
@amarosea 8 жыл бұрын
There's no such thing as this is "bad Arabic" juba Arabic is a a creole which is a global language phenomenon that it is a result of the contact between the Arabic language & indigenous southern Sudanese languages and was created as a way to bridge the language gap to facilitate communication between groups who traditionally speak different languages. You can find the same phenomenon in Jamaican English or Haitian French creole. Even the Arabic spoken in north Sudan isn't "pure" or "proper" arabic, even if it's more comprehensible to you. In fact, NONE of the various spoken arabic dialects whether Egyptian, Sudanese, Moroccan, Syrian, Lebanese or Palestinian are "proper" if you compare them to standard/Classical Arabic. They're all different dialects that evolved over centuries & are different precisely because each dialect was influenced by the local languages spoken before Arabic arrived with the Arab Muslim invasions.
@amarosea
@amarosea 8 жыл бұрын
Juba Arabic is further from standard Arabic than the Sudanese dialect of Arabic since it is more influenced by local southern Sudanese languages and its grammar rules are deliberately simplified to allow ease of communication between groups who speak various different languages. It's not a matter of "good" or "bad" Arabic. Once any creole language becomes the mother tongue of enough numbers of people and is passed from one generation to the next, and it's rules and grammar become more rigid and standard then it actually becomes considered its own language.
