Southall Lane Waste

HNW were commissioned to develop a proposal for Southall Lane Waste Depot in Hounslow. The proposal built up on an existing planning application to provide Southall Lane with up to date modern facilities, whilst providing the opportunity for future development.
Local Authority Household Waste Facility to receive, handle, bale and store prior to transport of up to 30,000 tonnes of dry recyclable waste, including ancillary office accommodation and vehicle workshop.
Due to the highly flammable nature of the materials being stored and recycled, the fire precautions had to be comprehensively considered and included 4 hour fire resisting material bay walls within the Materials Handling Facility.
