I have to agree, I've used the same set up to similar jobs ...is he getting paid by the hour or after a bit over time ...talk about dragging out ...I would of deployed the bed under the car , more less scoop it up ..just winch it on the last bit ...👍🙂

Can't work out why he's using slippery jims under the front wheel's? Maybe trying to bump the front over?

Maybe 4 wheel drive? Does it make a difference? Usually, electronic not permanent 4WD?
