Sea Rim State Park, Sabine Pass Texas. Right near the TX and LA border. Same beach I grew up on fishing and catching micro waves on. My wife and 3 kids were in the truck behind me, and the truck was close enough for me to jump into if needed. This massive gator wondered over from the freshwater located behind the dunes to finish his meal and bathe in the sun. TXPWD explained that gators will sometimes comes into the saltwater, briefly, to rid themselves of parasites. This chill dude had no fears for us. What a beautiful creature, at a distance. What a treat!

IF...the person taking this video...only knew...just how FAST...an alligator can actually run...I am sure, he would not be standing so close. This alligator...could EASILY overtake this camera man...in a very short amount of time. Alligators are fast...much faster than you really know.

No lol, directly across the street from sea rim beach and high island where the poster posted the video from, has a bunch of lakes and it's a lot of marsh vegetation around for them to be in. There's swamps all around the region as well in the surrounding cities, definitely not cgi
