I live up in the northeast and plan on moving to Florida in a year or so. You have just become one of my two favorite people to follow. Your videos are great and I plan on doing a lot of rail fanning when I get there. Keep up the great work!!

This video pushed me over the edge For years Danny Harmon has encouraged rail fans to visit Florida and Georgia hot spots in January; I’m gonna do it and include Folkston. This particular video allows viewers to see just how tricky drone videography can be. Selecting altitude, speed, camera shots and angle (there’s 7), lighting, and overall visual content is not nearly as easy as it looks. And once your work is in the can, there’s editing, a torturous second-guessing yourself process evaluating what to keep and how to present it in its final form. It’s WORK. Great job!! 👍😎 BTW, how the heck did a tree get in front of that engine? 19:18

Thank you! Yes, not easy! A lot of preparation is needed especially with the drone. I use the DJI Mavic Pro 2 which is a handful to fly. It’s definitely not a toy and very expensive. Lots of know how is needed. Practice practice practice is key. Post production editing is another handful. I use 2 cameras to film, the drone and a ground cam. I have to sync both together and that takes time and planning. I spent about 7 hours in the editing phase and I did start from scratch twice just because I wanted the best shots in the video. I left out about 8 trains because I wanted only the best shots. Lighting is key with the drone. I’m happy you like my work and comments like yours inspire me to do more! Thank you again!
