I’m 15 born in Southend and love the mod scene

i was a skinhead in the late 70s till early 80s. all i lived for was going to see Chelsea at Stamford bridge and to southend on bank holidays, but as for the mod scene it was no where to be seen on them days. mind you there was a few thousand skins there lol. plenty of bikers & rockers always up for it. i hated mods back then but i liked the scooters, especially when scooter skins came along. mind you we hated anyone who wasn't a skinhead. when quadrophenia film come out in 79 i refused to watch it. mind you i was a glue sniffing 15 year old skin, but today in 2023 its one of my favourite films, shows you was being young and narrow minded was about... some cool pics and cars as well...

the mods and rockers rivalry is long gone. ..in the end we are all on two wheels. .. We are all just as vulnerable from idiot car drivers. ..

You can always get one now. Got back into it last year after a 35 year break. Only regret I have is I didn't do it earlier. Ahhhhh the smell of two stroke

It always needed 5 Mods to take on just 1 Rocker. On their own, Mods weren't that much to shout about. Mods were very overrated.

What a sweeping generalized comment... ridiculous. Hard mods, hard rockers. Timid mods, timid rockers. It was not just about rivalries but rather the clothes, scooters the music and the scene and the great friends you made in that scene.
