Southend high street is a very nice, clean, safe and happy place to shop and visit. There is no graffiti, no sketchy looking people, no drunks or no loitering that spoils the area.

I used to go to C&A and buy clothes from there, when The Victoria Shopping Centre was outdoors in the 1990s. There used to be a really good video store inside The Royals Shopping Centre.

It’s ok but nothing special. Not like the shops you get in London, Surrey, Berkshire aha. No John Lewis etc. Not that it’s a bad thing but Essex compared to the other counties doesn’t really have those high end stores. I like it as it’s different to these areas but for some people they would think it’s a bit ‘down market’
