Corn harvest and soybean harvest has started in Southern Iowa. We get things caught up with you guys from breakdowns of grain bins combines and pickup truck.

I Don't know about you all but Ever time we work on Sunday we end up working on Monday to fix what we thought we fixed Sunday seams like ..(I just about Don't Do it Any more Unless its some sort of emergency) god said Rest on the Sabbath & He Will Remind You when you dont Listen to..lol.! Their is a saying i really like ..You Never Have Time To Do It Right But You Always Have Time To Do It Twice !.. We Need to get our corn picked to but i am in the Appalachian Mountain's (KY) an we just have 20-25 acres to Feed the Cattle through winter & the Hogs until Freezer Camp Time

We had the alternator bolts brake and let the alternator go down into the fan and the fan into radiator on our Case TV380 track loader so $12,000.00 later and 120 days later it’s back to going.

We all have those days on the farm!! Unfortunately some of us have more than others!!! I’m from northeast Iowa. Done with harvest gonna do some lime and a little disking, Then Rearrange the shed for winter. Have a good, productive and safe harvest.

Thanks, all went pretty good. Sorry to hear about fire, I’d be livid. Not that you weren’t but you it a lot better than I woulda. I probably woulda been pounding on doors. And very vocal while they were having a good time watching! We had a barn fire a few years ago and our daughter lost her fair pigs. It’s not the animals , money or buildings that mater it’s all the time and hard work that goes into it all!!anyways have a good rest of harvest and enjoy some down time.

@@iowANFarmer well ….not to be too broad but everything….not trying to get into your personal stuff but am very curious at how AVERAGE, farmers go about the business, let’s say, hypothetically speaking what happens, business wise, from the moment you harvest a crop, to the next year at the exact same moment. How you go about deciding rotations, when do you decide that, next when you you buy seed for the next crop,fertilizer etc. I think you understand, really an in depth look at the business side, geared for someone that isn’t around farming and not a business major ( but is not naive or stupid 😂) simple right? LoL. Thanks for listening.
