Southern Ohio Time: All the Feedback I Need

One of the hardest things to do in life is spend time with yourself; long enough to let yourself hear, connect and trust the real self within. Your own true voice is usually muted by the demands of the reality around us, and the expectations of those that around us.
We tune out, and turn away from the most important "radio dial" we need - our own real honest voice within; the Compass to our happiness. Combined with spending time with the Transcendent things (God, nature, love, creativity, etc...) - what is revealed in our time with ourselves is like finding the Golden Nuggets to coping, and living more abundantly.
When I go to Southern Ohio, I challenge myself to be with myself and reconnect to the voice within. The silence at night, the sound of boats on the water, the language of wind and trees, and the neighborhoods of birds always draw me in - and ask me to be still.
It is in this stillness, I find all of the feedback I need on my life. It is a feedback of knowing, trust and faith. This time of self-care and exploration is always a gift.
