Southern Oregon gold prospecting - Highbanking for gold!

In this episode we head to Southern Oregon (June 2022) on a non-ESH private claim. This is an area with several old timer workings, Chinese hand stacked tailing piles, and GOLD!. We found some evidence of old workings in the area. Hope you enjoy!
Gold prospecting in the Pacific Northwest, specifically Oregon, Washington and northern California. We are lifetime members of Republic Mining (RMPA - RepublicMining.com), Bohemia Mine Owners Association, Northwest Mineral Prospectors Club. Our current fleet of gear includes a Keene A52s sluice box, Gold Cube, Blue Bowl, Garret and XP pans, Equinox 800, Nokta Makro Gold Finder 2000, Gold Hog piglet highbanker, gold and sands hand dredge, Dream Mat, and a random assortment of generic tools. Nice work guys, that creek is tough sometimes but any gold is good gold! For me the tricky part there is the lack of black sand to help hone into the gold. There is some seriously chunky gold still hiding there though

Everyone I’ve met in the woods has been very pleasant. But yes, to both. Lots of wildlife out there and it’s a long ways to civilization.
