The morning sunlight, moves gently on our bed Sounds of distant traffic, float into my head Eyes slowly open and words won't be enough But what is left unspoken burns softly in your touch (Chorus) So hold me in your arms Hold me in your arms So my love, hold me in your arms Time moves without us, this room will be untouched We're safe beneath the truth now Both safe within this love (Repeat Chorus) And oh the heart in me Feels more than you can see I can't get close enough Every single day, is ours to feel this way I can't get close enough, never close enough ...

Always thought he was paid-off to go away cos he was as good as John Farnham! The excuse for his leaving the group was to concentrate on playing guitar - with that voice? I reckon it's sus. Soooo good. Moves me deeply.
@sehnaz17 жыл бұрын
Not sure about that conspiracy theory. Jack Jones had his 15 minutes of fame in an industry that is very fickle. I think he needed to find his own identity instead of being a Farnham clone, and that was his biggest flaw in my opinion. He was a great singer and still is. Don't be surprised if he makes it big again.

@@snickersbud8799 No, they're not unfortunately. Jack Jones aka Irwin Thomas has played a couple of solo shows playing the old Southern Sons songs. He's got a couple of shows coming up in 2019 as well. Unfortunately Virgil and the rest of the gang live all over the place (Jack himself is now US based), so it's pretty hard for them to get the crew together.

I can remember a time when I would wake up at the crack of dawn and see the light beginning to shine through my window and bounce off my angels face as she was sleeping.Id get up early pack all my stuff and walk 5-6 miles down this long industrial road to a shelter and eat breakfast.I was homeless at the time and my Girlfriend had a nice studio a good job and rescued me off the street.Id still get up and walk those 5-6 miles everyday just to eat breakfast and figure out my life and where I was going, we planned on marriage after a while because she was pregnant, when my daughter arrived it was the best feeling in the world, I had a steady job, she had a awesome job 4 months into having a kid I lost the two people I loved more then anything in the entire world so I packed up a suitcase and hit the road, left everything behind me hopped on a train and ran away from my life, to make the story short I met a woman the end of that year, she rescued me from being homeless and she's been my girlfriend for 8 yrs now.She's treated me like crap but also like an angel, theres been days she's beaten me up and days she caressed me and even times she cheated on me and other times she's been the sweetest person I know, she even lit the christmas tree on fire on christmas eve and smashed all the gifts then somehow we ended up kissing and making up,She's an alcoholic at times but I love her so much I stayed and stuck through it all, I love her more then anyone will ever imagine, I lost my first wife and daughter to a tragic event and feel like if I mess this one up I will have failed my wife and daughter theres more to it then just that but anyway everynight I pray that god will guide me through it all each and every step of the way.I know he carries me but sometimes I feel like picking up the wine bottle and pulling the trigger, Its been rough and Im too much of a gentlemen to leave her.I always dream of finding romance but at the end of the day all I find is a broken Gentlemen sipping wine and playing Michael Bolton and various romantic records till I pass out.Some nights I just lay in bed watching romantic movies on laser disc drinking wine and crying myself to sleep praying that my life will change.The last 7 yrs its been a mess and ive come to realize how blessed I really am.God has given me the gift of life and thats more then I could ever ask for.I love this song.

God helps those who help themselves. You can't drown your demons, they know how to swim. So, don't keep doing the same thing over and over and hoping for a different outcome. Make a good plan, stick to it and climb up and out of this dysfunctional toxic relationship and improve yourself. Only when you're happy and settled with yourself can it work with someone else ...
