Southern didn't come to play with NOBODY! I haven't seen that kind of precision in forever! The band sounded amazing, plus everyone else was playing the samething. And the Dolls didn't disappoint and showed out as usual. SU came to slay.

They wasnt telling him to NOT be there he was in the way. He was in the way of Jukebox Media while they were trying to record AND he was in the way of the dancing dolls props. They had to put the umbrellas down where he was standing and he didnt wanna move. All he had to do was step back n record behind the white line like everybody else. The ppl who were allowed to record in FRONT of the white line were part of southerns media crew. Rules are rules 🤷🏽‍♀️

I love my HBCU. I really do. These shows are good but lacking the surprise wow factor i have grown accustomed to. Not saying every new field has to be new but something new in it that makes us go wow. On another to all those who say u can hear our piccolos cause we are brass heavy.....kick rocks. I dont think it was the fact of him recording, if you go back and look as soon as the Dolls got on the field he was right there on the 50, in the way of them placing the stand for the Band Director. Thats all it was, and rightfully so he should not have been in that particular spot.

No one should have hands put on them HOWEVER I have seen many videos with like 20 people recording on the sideline. There was one instance where one of the dolls almost had to push people out of the way. Maybe there should be some limitations. Like if you are trying to record with an IPhone 3, you can’t be down there. Ijs.

Kev did the right thing. I see all the comments about what he should have done and what the police did not have the right to do. First off when a sworn officer gives you instructions people, please follow them. If SU has that many officers around them, there may have been an unknown issue or threat. Officers job is to protect those young men and women, not see who can post a vid first.

@@LamiksVideos1 I believe security has the authority to protect its clients. The officers appear to be wearing firearms so I suspect they may be able to use whatever force deemed necessary. Now I will say it made me sick to see them run up on the man, he was just standing there filming, not appearing to bother anyone. The actions of the police were upsetting, but Kev showed maturity in his demeanor.

SUs security detail attempted to restrict photographers, not of SUs media team, to a particular area on the sideline; which they DID NOT have any legal authority to do so... The SU Dolls were not in any danger, though it was falsely presented that they were by an associate of SUs band... The entire attack on Kev, by SUs security detail, was very unnecessary and foolish... Of course SU clut fans reported my original comments, because they did not like the truth and facts to the legality I stated to the illegal actions of SUs security detail... To them, the truth and facts pertaining to law jurisdiction, hurt their feelings🤣

Your entire comment is riddled with contradictions... Kev was not given any "lawful instructions/orders" from a sworn officer, in the State of Alabama at this event... Kev was subsequently approached by an official of the event that asked him to move, and Kev did move post being illegally accosted by SUs security detail... I applaud Kev for his stance and firmness to not allow himself to be bullied by SUs security detail, as he is known for his stellar work throughout the HBCU community💪

From what I can see...when they started pushing Kev back was when the dolls umbrella props were needing to be placed out. Nevertheless, there definitely could’ve been a more appropriate way for that to be done! As soon as they would’ve tried to physically move me, I probably would’ve laid hands...honestly! investigation time...the tall, burly bald guy with beard and the Southern wind suit with yellow striped sleeves was the primary cause of the altercation with Killakev...start tracking him @ 2:05....for whatever reason he didn't want him in front or too close to the field...I guess all "non-staff" would be behind the thin white line...you can see him at different points encouraging the officers to tell all "non-Southern" people to move back; and you can see the officers asking him, "is this guy with y'all?"; so, I don't really blame the officers except when they put their hands on Kev...my thing with the big bald dude...was it that serious? You got the rest of the year to get video bruh...Killakev has his shirt on and apparently has already been allowed on the field. Calm down being all over-zealous doing your job with your hands in your pocket...couldn't even enjoy the video...carry on...

I’m not too impressed with a lot of these field shows anymore. It’s like after the dancers perform the rest of the shows become kinda boring. And I’m not just talking about Southern. It seems like the bands back then were more entertaining. The new school bands do have excellent dancers though.

I Swear the only con about SU is their Drum Major. He has to be the most horrible Drum Major ever. He don't conduct the band he just stand there. should just be a dancer if you just gonna stand there with them. You are suppose to be an entertainer, you are the front of the band the first thing people look at. You are suppose to display the best marching but yet you don't do that you sit and watch. I love SU band but I'm sorry their Drum Major irritates me every time I see them.
