Thanks, that’s a great list too. I have Bryant Lee on my list because he put up big numbers despite not having the OL, running game, defense, or weapons those other QBs on the list have. He didn’t play with Mike Hayes, Willie Quinn, Lenard Tilary, Melvin Williams, Kenny Peoples, Chris Davis or Alfred Ard.

@@coach67sportstv I agree with your take Coach but remember he did Juamorris Stewart who I think ended up breaking one of Michael Hayes records and Del Robert’s in the slot, I remember those days cuz my freshmen year there was 08 and B Lee was a junior I think, but I put him 6th because he didn’t make it to a SWAC Championship game and should have in the 2007 season I wanna say but he is great

@@TLathers225 That’s an excellent point, I forgot he had those two at WR. Even with that being said Pete wasn’t as sharpe from a coaching standpoint in his later years. Had Coach Richardson had that same team 10 years prior he would have won the SWAC Championship. Bryant Lee should have won a SWAC Championship his Senior season but Coach Richardson just wasn’t the same coach, I think the game passed him at that point. They should have beaten PVU at AW in Pete’s last game there because they had the 🏈 at about the 50 with 2:50 left and they couldn’t get in the end zone with the poor clock management.

@@coach67sportstv yea they vastly underachieved from 04-09, 2004 Ricks should’ve won that SWAC title but they had him throwing more than they should have being up 14 in the 4th quarter, and yes you are definitely correct, if we got the ball in Mumford at the 50 with those guys, we should’ve scored easily, he did lose his edge but B Lee was supposed to have 1 possible 2 titles

@@TLathers225 Definitely in his Senior season (that’s what let me know it was time for Coach Richardson to go) and maybe his Junior season. TR wasn’t managed as good as he could have been from a play calling standpoint.

The only part I disagree with is when Sam George played we did have a heritage bowl than, because the heritage bowl started in 1991 when Bama st vs north Carolina a&t played in Miami.

You are 100% correct, someone else caught that too. I forgot we played it but I remember Coach Richardson being so down on it because the 3rd best team in the MEAC was playing the best team in the SWAC. At that point interest was down in so maybe that’s why I forgot that win.

Good afternoon. You are right, I forgot about that. The interest was low that year with Bethune because the MEAC was sending two teams to the 1AA playoffs. They discontinued the Heritage Bowl after that season due to the low interest on the MEAC side of things.
