I think it does, but some songs need their own custom arrangement styles; sometimes you can’t shoehorn radio hits into your most comfortable tempo or give in to the temptation to fill out the melody too much if you’re used to proudly displaying your musicianship. Sometimes a megahit just needs to sound like the song (the beat if it’s rap) coming out of a band.
