Dega loud, SU is more balanced. If Dega is looking to say they are louder than SU, so be it. SU is way more polished, arrangements are way more dynamic and diverse, there’s really no comparison in musicianship, only leg Dega has to stand on when battling SU is volume, and SU never gets out of character because Dega may be louder, they continue to do what SU does, play with control. That’s what makes them them for the past 30+ years🤷🏾‍♂️

Jermaine Culbreath b-tones are the power of the brass section, that’s where the volume comes from. SU just knows how to blend so every section is heard, that’s where their balance comes from.
