I love seeing how you filled stockings for your kids now that they’re older! My mom still does a stocking for me and my sisters, but now that I’m an adult I love to help by putting a few special things in her stocking as well. There’s something so magical about growing up and getting to help make that Christmas cheer happen ✨

My mom is turning 90 in February & she still puts a some things in my stocking 🥰 I ❤ it. One day my empty stocking will be a sad metaphor. My son is 23 & I will do the same until the end of my time.

My kids who are now 24 and 19 have always gotten slim jims and orange tic tacs in their stockings. They also always have gotten Ramune (Japanese soda) at Christmas. It feels right to me to keep doing that no matter how old they get. Their stockings are overflowing with lots of other junk food and only a couple nonedible items. I love that Mary makes a stocking for herself too. On another note, my 24 year old moved out in April and won't be here this morning for Christmas and what's worse is I have covid and won't be seeing her at all today 😭 I can't risk making her or her roommate sick. Not being with her feels worse than the covid.

I'm 44 and growing up, our stockings were mostly candy and my kids' stockings have always been mostly that. This year, they are 18 and 21 and I'll say it's more like 50/50 on the candy to stuffers ratio, but to be honest, I think that mostly has to do with the focus of what a 'stocking stuffer' is today. When I was a child and up til they were still "children" companies weren't so focused on non-treat stocking items. So, I think that's why even now, I'm still heavy-handed on the candy and/or sugar related content for their stockings. Lol, it's what they grew up with. Merry Christmas 🎁🎄!!!

Okay first of all, the older I got the more I loved getting candy, things I don’t always get myself. And I get to stock up once a year! But second, the rice candy! My mom grew up in Hawaii and I get sent these once or twice a year in a pound bag! I am obsessed. My grandma and aunt have sent me them all my life or brought them. I’m almost 30. Love it! All the local grocery store chains here carry the Botan rice candy in the Asian food aisle near hi chews etc. All my boys are grown 23, 30 and 34 I still make them stockings it’s so fun! I make one for my boyfriend too and he fills one for me. Doesn’t everyone?!🤣

This looks so much fun! I'm from the Netherlands and we're not very familiar with the Christmas stockings here. We do have them, but more for decoration. Next year I'm going to fill them too, my daughter will be 6 years old. But when do you give them? On Christmas Eve or Christmas morning? At the same time as the other presents? Everyone does it a bit differently but for my family in the UK the stockings are filled on Christmas Eve and opened on Christmas morning. We do stocking presents first thing. When I was a kid I had my stocking in my bedroom and I could open the presents in there if I got up really early before I was allowed to go and get my parents.
