In this video, we'll start out with a show & tell of the peacock-themed ornaments that I recently purchased for one of my Christmas trees this year. After that, I'll decorate you with my ornaments! I hope you enjoy it! :)

Believe it or not, eight years ago next year in June, I had a peacock themed wedding!! And my husband and I plan to go as a newly married couple for a Halloween party. I really love what you said about not letting others stop your excitement. My mom and I are the o my ones who love Christmas. My brother has been throwing a fit because I decorated and keeps whining that I need to take it down cause he’s tired of looking at it. But it genuinely makes her and I happy. We’ve really been wanting to get a second tree since our new house has the space but he keeps acting like he has final say even when it’s my money and time. But you’ve inspired me to go ahead and get the second tree and to get the poinsettias that we wanted. Christmas is such a magical time of year and we look forward to it all year. Edit: I used mesh ribbon in a tree before and it’s really pretty tied in a bow at the top and flowing down curled or scrunched (or you can use it wrapped kind of like garland!)

I love your creativity! We usually do a "classic" Xmas tree in golden and red, with multicolor lights and a lot of ornaments that we have collected in years. When I was a kid we never did a proper Xmas tree because my mom was scared that my little brother would crash on it (lol), we had a big "tree" made of cardboard on the door. It was cute but not a real tree and when my parents decided to get a "3D" one (😂) I was sooooo excited. And so I am nowadays! I love Xmas ❤🎄

Hello, Mary; I really hope you see this comment, because I have some info/tip about tree decorating that I really want to share with you-I think it’s amazing! Hear me out: this may be obvious, you may have heard, but I did not realize until I heard it on a blog and decided to try it!-those basic green hooks, those fancier hooks, lengths of fancy -looking string that most ornaments come equipped with-ALL are super inferior and have Achilles heels compared to this: Use (green) thin floral wire to wire ornaments to the tree! When I heard it I thought, how anal, I’m already far enough gone as it is! How slow, how etc. BUT it is surprisingly easy, and looks THE best, especially for round bauble-types, but all are good. And you get really quick at it, AND you can truly twist or adjust it to get them to hang ANY way you want. No more “compromising” with a stubborn branch. Some of these Heavy ornaments just-it’s like there is no other way to accomplish it with them. I bought a flat spool of the wire at Walmart, I think, years ago and I am not half-though it. Please at least consider testing it out to see if you enjoy it/it helps you. I love knowing that *I* won’t be knocking anything off as I continue decorating throughout the process, too!

When I'm placing lights on the tree I always do it in the evening time and have the lights plugged in the whole time so I can adjust them and make sure it all is even around my tree. I don't even know how someone can blindly put the lights around and decorate the whole tree without the lights on, that's sacrilege!!!!!!
