Thanks, 082 makes some racket you can hear it for miles. I try to find the peaceful locations off the beaten track, better chance of hearing the 071s in full voice!

Just wondering; if there's freight movements, where are the containers offloaded, e.g. Ballina? Are they then brought to a port, or delivered locally? Regarding the wood shipments, are they collected in Mayo and then brought all the way to Waterford for export? Great shots of the movements.

Containers offloaded in Ballina freight depot, go by road to the customers. The timber is brought by road to depots in Ballina and Westport where it’s shipped to Waterford where a paper manufacturer is located nearby. Glad you enjoyed the video.

Yes a Friday evening, crossing the late service that took a connection off the 1915 Galway.

It depends on the day of the week, but generally 1005 ex Ballina and 1105 ex Ballina/Westport. Freight into Mayo is trickier to capture, they generally arrive from 1500 hrs onwards over a few hours.
