How is this for an indicator - the McDonalds in Southport town centre, slightly down Eastbank St - is now CLOSED!!! Yep, Macckies couldn't even make it work - business rates too high, parking costs too high, footfall dying off - Sefton Council are killing off the town centre slowly but surely.

I always call it sunny Southport, Cos where I am it's always grey. They went to town spraying those stupid lines in the sky, next minute it's grey grey grey.
