I'm watching this on 11/1/19...we lived in San Diego from 1987-1993 while my hubby was in the Navy...I still miss San Diego...great video!

Taking off is so sad, I hate to leave such a beautiful place.

landing at this airport...felt like you were gonna land right in downtown!

I would prefer reverse operations all the time for arrivals and departures. It may add 10 minutes to a westbound flight but would cut 15 or 20 minutes off an eastbound departure from the gate. Great video never the less.

where was it headed? i'm taking my first flight ever, since i was a baby, this friday on southwest and this video makes me excited but all the times i've seen them take off from the cliffs i thought ehh no problem it seems fine but seeing it from this POV makes me a little nervous to fly over the ocean lol

I wonder why they didn't name the airport after the first men to fly the Atlantic non-stop eight years before Lindbergh, oh I know, they were British

Lindbergh's plane "The Spirit of St. Louis" was manufactured in San Diego. Why would they name the airfield after people that had no connection whatsoever to San Diego?
