This is was truly an awesome catch that I found in my video vault. It was completely forgotten and I'm so glad I found it!
On track three, the Amtrak Southwest Chief makes it's first stop since leaving Los Angeles Union Passenger Terminal 22 miles distant.
Meanwhile around the corridor heading to the ports of LA / Long Beach is a BNSF monster stack train. The engineer gave me a nice horn salute and a friendly wave out of the cab!
In the head end power is a Santa Fe Warbonnet lashed up to her sister GE's. This train is 13,708 feet long and is assisted by 4 mid train DPU's; a great catch!
