Well I pretty much lost all hope to find and film one in ether Las Cruces or Alamogordo but I fond one in the place you wold think it would be but leas expect it lol
For those of you who did not pay exceptionally close attention to my previous videos of south west disposal you probably did not know about these trucks till now however they exist quite plentifully around here waste connections continue to follows the previous owners of south west disposal‘s plan to use shuttle Amreps for a lot of the garbage routes so far I’ve counted about five of these in Las Cruces yard and there’s two in Alamogordo yard I’m not sure if El Paso disposal or any of the south west disposal yards in Arizona have shuttles I know the former south west disposal yard in Albuquerque used to have shuttles as well. Southwest disposal and El Paso disposal are parent companies before being bought out by Waste connections in the early 2000s waste connections continue to use the shuttle Amreps and actually just got a new one recently I’m fortunate for about a month The driver for waste connections on my route did not have an assigned truck currently the truck picking up on my route is a WX autoreach the last Xpeditor they have which is nothing to complain about either the shuttle amreps are definitely fun and entertaining though not exactly sure why they keep buying shuttle amreps because I think these trucks go back to the yard to dump but it’s still a nice sight to see some more of this incredibly rare truck I hope to get more video of them in the future but I have to end up finding where they run as I currently do not know at this time thanks for the awesome driver for making the video possible
For those of you who don’t know what the shuttle Amrap is it basically a Front load compactor and an Amrap combined the pod will tilt down to be emptied by front loader some of them also can be emptied like a regular garbage truck would be unfortunately this one cannot not exactly sure how many carts these trucks can hold I would probably say about 100 if you really push it I would say this driver probably collected about 30 to 40before he headed down the road back to the yard to unload I’m not sure if waste connections sent this garbage to their landfill in El Paso or to the South Central solid waste Authority transfer station I’ve seen their trucks going in both directions at the end of the day so it might be both anyway thanks to Waste connections of New Mexico there a really great company and I suggest using their services if you get a chance.
