Good video guys. I hope this next part comes across as the helpful (hopefully) tips it is meant as rather than critisism of your fishing skills. That is actually pretty calm for down there. Breakaway or pyramid sinkers are the go in the gutters to help hold the bottom against the currents. There was lots of left to right current going there so the best thing you could have done is to either get rid of the berley or had it a hundred or so meters up the beach to your left so the berley was being carried by the current to the area you were casting your baits. Positioned where it was the berley would have been getting carried away from the spot you were fishing taking any fish with it. We all have to start somewhere & I hope that little bit of info helps you guys on your fishing journey.

@@OverlandingOutWestI'm glad you did take that as advice rather than critisism. We all start somewhere & believe me, I've made plenty of mistakes along my journey. Plenty of them really, really stupid mistakes. Nobody knows it all, that's part of the fun & challenge of fishing. The main thing is you're out there giving it a crack & having a blast along the way. Keep up the good work.

Haha, thanks. As you can tell, we are about as amateur as they come. Learning all the fish and best ways to catch them is high on the priorities for us at this stage. - Damien

Them surf gutters were legit, get some graple sinkers next time. Soak your barley bucket overnight too ;)
