What is your favorite limited service hotel breakfast?
@EvrydyJayАй бұрын
Hyatt & Best Western are my go to hotels when traveling due to rates and breakfasts, usually close to the same prices as other hotels for the amenities.

My poor dad had Parkinsons and was wheelchair bound. Traveling was so hard for him because he required so much help. People pretending to need a wheelchair are selfish for using a service that is really needed by many, especially the elderly. 😢

Embassy Suites has great breakfast!!! It really depends on where you travel as far as the importance of breakfast. For instance, in Branson, MO it's all old people and they expect a hearty breakfast. They all serve breakfast and often times it's a huge operation!

Hampton is probably my favorite of the hotel breakfasts that I didn't have to pay extra for. Waffle maker, eggs, potatoes, bagels, toast, juices, pastries, oatmeal, fruit, hot coffee. No frills but definitely perfect for what I need.

It’s definitely solid.

My worst travel from Asia was Manila to Guam to Honolulu to lax to Vegas. I did on miles better than paying cash The unique part of the trip I saw a Friday night sunset leaving Guam and a Friday morning sunrise arriving Honolulu.

I used to do 24 hour layovers back in the day to stretch out United bookings. Once did LAS-LAX-PEK (24hrs) -DPS (spent 5 days) SIN (24 hours)-BKK-TPE-LAX-LAS. Haha craziness.

A lot of flying!

@ yes on my last flight there was either a mixup or misunderstanding on my seat. I Told the flight attendant I am sorry explained about all my flights and how I was tired and irritable and just needed to get home and sleep as on a plane I may doze off for one or two minutes and wake up.

Miles and points nerd here, I rarely stay at budget hotels but you are absolutely right, Holiday Inn is amongst the best in the US, not just breakfast, but also comfort, and convenience, is true IHG is underrated, Kimpton another IHG brand, is amazing for people that travel with pets. On the higher end chains in my opinion Four Seasons is the best.
@20minutetravelАй бұрын
I agree IHG is underrated. I’ve enjoyed most of my stays across their brands high to low.

For Southwest I always look for another big dude and usually no one wants to sit in-between us.

Hyatt really needs to up their game with their limited service offerings and just generally overhaul the Hyatt Place brand. I totally agree on the breakfast point, but even just looking at the rooms and comparing a newer Hampton to a newer Hyatt Place - the Hampton generally wins. It's really odd because once you go to Regency or higher, Hyatt generally offers superior properties to Hilton, Marriott, and IHG. But go below Regency to Hyatt Place or Hyatt House... and those other three brands will typically offer better rooms, breakfasts, and lower rates.

I often stay at a newer Hyatt House (opened last year) and they have an omelette station which I love for the egg whites and allowing me to skip the awful powdered eggs.

The worst is getting stuck in a sandwich seat on a transpacific flight. Here’s a trick get on the plane do a fake burp and say boy that chili for lunch was good.😊No I haven’t done it.😊

Fairly sure jay leno was staying in a smaller town for a show (he is a traveling comedian). Hampton inn was the nicest hotel in that town. He’s also famously frugal except with his cars.

@ , we shall. They will be gone or bought in a few years. In a few months they will be gone IMO. SWA will not be the same. Since the mid 90s I have flown them. I had flown at least twice a year
