"Souvenirs" is a song written by Cy Coben and originally recorded by Barbara Evans in 1959. Later the song was adapted into French by Fernand Bonifay. French rockstar Johnny Hallyday released it (under the title "Souvenirs, souvenirs") as an EP in 1960.
This video was shot at the Keep in Brooklyn by Edward Bally and Stephen Lamarche, recorded by Adrien Chevalier.

I just want to add one more thing. This song by itself is, well I don’t want to be uncharitable…. The fact that it is a masterpiece when performed by Tati, Pat and Avalon Jazz Band just underscores how great they are! Yeah I know I’m hopeless. But I’m ok with that when my heart is uplifted every time I watch you sing and play!

The delightful lady fronting this exquisite ensemble in a similar manner takes center stage as she embodies the joy & vitality of what this ensemble is all about. The beauty and talent initially catches us, then draws us into appreciating the sax, the fiddle, the bass, the guitar and accordion's genius supporting her words. Been a fan of sad songs for most of my life. I don't know, I guess because the song is about someone more miserable than me? Because they are songs about real life and the heart. Well, Tatiana and her wonderful band excel at happy songs. Her smile, little dance moves, and happy singing, along with some really great instrumentalists and song arrangement are all very entertaining. Also discovered very late in life how cool singing in French is. Wish I could do it. Before the last couple of years the only French singing I had heard was from classical music and Cajun music.
