I heard the music to this song before I heard the words. I livestream fellowship with Bethlehem Baptist Church on Sundays at 9am. Before they begin service, they play music during the countdown. I heard this song and the melody stirred in my heart, but I did not know the words. Well, today they sang it in the congregation! My heart leaped!! Now, I can enjoy the words AND the music. A year later but why not. Hamza, God's word says repent and believe the gospel of Jesus Christ. Be reconciled to God through Jesus Christ who is the propitiation (satisfaction of God's wrath) for sin. Apart from Christ we are without hope in this world and far from God but Christ has come to preach peace to those who are far from God. Why did He come to preach peace? Because apart from Christ we are not just far from God but at war with Him and under His wrath because of our sins. In Adam, the first man, we all fell and inherited a sin nature. Therefore we are now spiritually dead in our trespasses and sins but the love of God (and the good news of the gospel) is that through His eternal Son Jesus Christ those who believe in Him are totally forgiven and will be raised together with Christ as a new creation, born again to new life where they are now at peace with the God they once hated and will now, because of God's mercy and grace and through faith in Christ begin choosing to live their life in a way that brings glory to the God that saved them. Where can you find everlasting peace? In the Lord, Jesus Christ who was sent by His Father on a rescue mission, to live the life we could not live, die under the wrath of God that we deserve, be buried in a tomb that could not hold Him (but would have held us for eternity) and to rise from the dead in victory over death. Peace can be found in a Person and what He has done for His people, Christ Jesus the Lord. May the Lord grant you repentance and faith and salvation in His Son, Amen.

One of my best friends and her brother sang this song for a special at church one Sunday morning. My friend sang and played the piano while her brother sang. Her microphone fell onto her hands and then her arms in the middle of the song. She started to cry because it messed her up but then she was able to start again at the 2nd verse. The look in her brother's eyes were the most touching thing that i have ever seen. It was as if he was telling her that it is going to be okay with only his eyes.
