Thank you very much, Kevin. It's wonderful that somehow the process of sharing little known but worthy films on KZbin is sparking interest in some people. Cheers and have a nice Christmas!

@Peter Kelner XD It's on the plans. I mentioned him earlier on other essays, "Trial on the Road" and "Hard to be a God", but all of his films are worth watching and discussing and are part of Soviet cinema canon. Cheers.

@@PlanSéquenceFilmArt for sure. Maybe bad timing to watch now Russian/Soviet films ... - But what I really wanted to say: I have mostly seen (since 2004 or so) Asian films (especially Japanese), so I have a lot catching up to do. Your channel helps a lot with that. I am the guy on FB a few days ago who said "thank you", by the way. I guess I am able to watch films again. I am Healed. ;-) -

@@the3rdpillblog934 Hey, nice to see you here, after meeting on FB. The Soviet/Russian films fortunately bear no dependence or relation with the current act of barbarous agression, the artists that created this works are not responsible for it, so do not worry about it. I'm glad the channel is able to provide film recommendations to supplement your knowledge of cinema. Cheers!

@@savagargenta2341 You really should find the time to watch Satantango, it's an incredible film. I have something planned for Tarr, at some point later this year there's a video on him coming out. Thanks for the interest, Sava!

Indeed, this export came out like that, not really sure why, but only noticed that after the upload. Just need to push the volume a bit higher but I'll make sure I'll punch some dBs next time. Thanks for stopping by!

@@PlanSéquenceFilmArt It's also "fixed" if you have the ability to adjust the high-low frequencies on your video player. If you don't have that option, I suggest that you get a player (there are good free ones) that does. It could be a benefit when listening to a number of other videos.

Is it cult, though? It was a mainstream classic in its time, made on state financing (the only type of filmmaking in the USSR of the '60s).
@PlanSéquenceFilmArt11 ай бұрын
I get what you mean, but I'd describe as cult, in a sense that it is mostly unknown today for foreign audiences, albeit warmly cherished by Russian people as a nostalgia-ridden classic. Thanks for the comment and cheers to you!
