Soviet Guitar Demo

A very rough demo of a late 80s Belarusian made Soviet era Formanta Solo 2
Made with an onboard fuzz circuit, a really fun and unique instrument.
This guitar was in storage for about 20 years, i purchased it but it was unplayable. Took it to my luthier and he got the thing playing beautifully. Rare in the UK, but even rarer to have one that actually plays!

@@SPACEKOOKING Just listened again, and it really is absolutely monster! Thick and juicy! Do you have any further information about it, the circuit etc.? & Do you know if your luthier had to change a lot of stuff out in terms of the electronics to get it working, or is this basically the original specifications (maybe with a few worn out caps/pots changed) Also I see from the description you're playing into an AC15 here. I don't know that amp at all and can't really tell by ear, so I'm wondering, how much of the delicious gain tone here is from the fuzz itself, and how much from the boosted signal pushing the amp's front end? Last question (sorry for so many lol), a couple of years on, are you still enjoying this guitar? Does it get a lot of play?

I never got to lay eyes on the circuit myself, and from what I gather from my luthier, he never had to do anything to the circuit other than a little bit of contact cleaner. So all original spec! The AC-15 is a good amp, not as clean as a Fender but good and bright. I ran the amp clean. There's a master volume and a channel volume so you can crank the amp without it being too loud which is good but for this video I had both low so the amp didn't naturally distort, so the fuzz is purely the guitar tone. I sold the guitar to one of my friends, I didn't want to sell it to a stranger as I wanted to keep it "in the family". I still regret having to get rid of it but at the time I needed the money. If I find another one I'd definitely buy it

Спасибо! Да, верхние переключатели управляют фуззом и фильтром фузза. Я думаю, что нижние переключатели действуют как своего рода инверсия фазы.

the stuff above the pickups is the fuzz circuit, the tone knob has a lot of range! The three switches on the bottom left are pickup selectors, and the other controls are almost like a filter, strangle type circuit i think??
