Soviet Lifchik Chest Rig Review

The lifchik (russian for bra) goes by many names, lifchika, bra, afghan rig, ect. and it is hands down one of my favorite pieces of soviet militaria.
It works great and is well constructed.
It holds up to 6 AK or RPK magazines, 4 "limonka" style grenades, and 2 stick style flares.

@@frostydrifter I got one from Grey Shop in the tan color. It’s been alright, tight pouches and sits okay. Haven’t used it much. The adjustment straps are a little annoying but construction seems durable after all these years.

what does the OTK stamp mean on the back of some of these rigs. I believe it's some sort of inspection/approval stamp or something. I found them on some of the lifchiks without the leather straps using only a button instead.

How many m16 stanag style mags that could carry, stanag been so slim i´d imagine that that could take three in each pouch? Btw thanks for the video, i rarely airsoft but military history interests me and it´s not easy to find info on webbing systems.

The lifchik at 2:25 isn't a 'imitation' of the lifchik used in the war in Afghanistan, its just a lifchik used by the Russian army. The afghan lifchik is just the first ever lifchik used by Soviet or Russian forces.

It would be GREAT if they made this vest to carry 6 mags in 7.62x39mm. It will only carry 3 but will carry 6 Ak74 mags. Still going to get one though !

i always liked my m23 far more than the lifchik. the mags were wayy to tight and the snaps were hard to open. it made it a bitch to reload during games. so i went back to the m23 lol
