I’ve seen some comments saying “you shouldn’t be cheering on Russians at a time like this” he’s not cheering on the Russians, he’s cheering on the Soviet Union who at the time where part of the Allies during ww2. Yes, that did include Russians but it also included Ukrainians. People are saying this videos offensive due to what’s happening rn but I think it could have a positive message that I’ve seen many Russians saying, that being that the war is pointless and in reality Ukraine and Russia are brother countries, the people of each countries care for each other and work well together.

Hey Daley, maybe you should interrupt uploading videos of russian soldiers (Soviets) invading other country's. I'm from Germany and I like the ww2 serious where some german soldiers get crushed. Nevertheless, the worst war is happening in Europe since World War 2 and I have great pity for my Ukrainian neighbors. I still think the video is very great, stay as you are and healthy.

Daley had been posting videos about a fictional Russian invasion of other countries while Russia was sabre-rattling about Ukraine and even moving into Kazakhstan to help put down local protests, but NOW you are complaining that this is inappropriate? There are other video game KZbinrs, and not necessarily Daley himself, who put up videos taking place in contemporary conflicts in the Middle East, where there are also people dying, homeless, and without the promise of asylum from the Polish government. Any disclaimers made by the KZbinrs seemed more to avoid demonetization or strikes as opposed to complaints by the viewers. And while Daley may want to do that for the Chernobyl video, I don't really see this historical video being any worse.

@TheLapster Exactly. It's one thing to have your soldiers be Wermacht soldiers, who really were just patriots wanting to fight for their country. It's a completely other thing to have literally all the soldiers you command be SS who's loyalty was sworn to a madman and him alone.

I don't suppose that you take Issue with Germany between 1933 and 1945 being referred to as Nazi Germany because there were some Germans who were not official members of the Nazi Party. Christ. Do you see all of the posts here complaining about bad timing? About insensitivity? Tastelessness? Why? Are the Russians who invaded Ukraine serving under Communist rule? No. Are they Soviets? No. Are they Stalinists? I have no idea what is in their hearts, but I am guessing that the number is probably very few. Heck, it could very well be that very few of the Soviets in this video are even Russian. Who even knows? It's a video game with dubious attempts at accuracy. Yes, others have pushed back at those comments regarding this video. But what was your contribution to that discourse? "Jeez really?" Yet, my comment is what set you off. Cheering on a political ideology that the current Russian President hopes to restore the Russian Federation to through force of arms really isn't right. If you think it's stupid to be against that cool beans. The USSR did horrible things to Poland during WWII and it was largely overlooked. The USSR didn't align itself with the Allies and held a non aggression pact with Nazi Germany untill Nazi Germany began it's invasion of Russian territory. Disagree all you like or try to make stupid half-ass justifications I don't care. Just don't feel it was appropriate considering real world political pushes to restore the Russian USSR through the Federation that exists today. I won't be responding to any further comments on this video.
