Some repeated questions answered: 1) Nozzle is just similar to volcano, but not the same. So we are limited to Sovol nozzles. 2) Yes, it has a ball bearing on the top of leadscrew (unlike previous version). Could you provide any additional details on the nozzle length specs (full length vs length of thread alone) and thread pitch? Sovol is not currently offering .6mm or hardened steel nozzles, so this info would be helpful. Thanks!

I was planning to buy the Prusa MK4, but they come with even stranger nozzles, the special adapter nozzle to use regular smaller nozzles is not included, their kits take a long time to assemble, are more expensive and take many weeks to be delivered.. So I went to look for an alternative and found this one. Ordered it monday and received it on wednesday, first print started an hour after unboxing and turned out flawlessly. So far no regrets and extremely impressed in how complete it is

Isn't it about time that the manufacturers used 0.6 nozzles for devices with such a print volume, or at least included one as a replacement? Speaking of replacement: 300 degrees and almost all filaments? How about a steel nozzle (also as a replacement) so that the nozzle does not close almost immediately with certain filaments? And since we've talked so much about Nozzle, what format is it and can you get replacements elsewhere than just Sovol? And of course: Thanks for this great review

On the small SV06 many people modify the Z top plate to add a bearing. Did they change the design on the SV06 Plus or would it also benefit from the same modification?

Maybe the Z number that shows one the screen, multiplies the current percentage with the height of the finished print and that's why it shows numbers that doesn't make sense.

Hello, thank you for this test and for sharing the upgrade bed bracket fix. I preordered this printer and I would make an enclosure before receiving it. I'm not sure of the depth and width to let the printer the needed space for working. Sovol indicate 538mm*488mm*707mm, i'm not sure that 550mm depth x 500mm wide x 750mm height volume would be ok ! Could you advise me the working volume for this SV06 Plus ?

This is an interesting offering and while I was not interested in bed slingers this may be a good large printer. I have a question? I see refurbished Ender s1 plus around $300 from time to time, which one would you prefer S1 plus or Sv06 plus? I like the rails and all metal hot end of SV06 more but wanted to ask your opinion.
@CBatt191 Жыл бұрын
Is the gantry identical to the SVO6? It would be cool to see if Sovol sells this complete hot end like they do for the SV06. I could switch to this higher flow hot end with just 3 screws.

Gantry? No its bigger, 10mm rods (not 8), extruder hotend is bigger too.

Still wondering how you managed to print tpu. My sv06 cannot handle Tpu 92a since it will always tangle up in the extruder.

Interesting, several users wrote that they had problem with TPU. On mine since it is in, I have no problems any more. I even tried to push the limits with speed and retraction

@creativ01 Жыл бұрын
@@MyTechFun Yeah, but because of low acceleration and another aspects, how much % of the whole print was actually printed with this speed? I would guess maybe 10%? With the print size 250mm+ i would personally go with core xy if i want higher speeds.
@MyTechFun Жыл бұрын
@@creativ01 Yes, I agree. I have no info about the acceleration. Bed slingers can never reach that acceleration. So, yes, bigger objects can benefit from this speed.

Kinda sad they didn't use USB/normal SD card for printing files and also needed to address the bedding cable rubbing issue. They should copy the cable style similar to the Artillery Sidewinder-X2 for a cleaner and safer look. Not sure why Sovol still mounts the MB cooling fan facing the hotbed (I know it is easier to fix/diy if a problem arises, but the chance is slim if it is already working on day 1). Using hot air from the bed/nozzle/part cooling to cool the MB is just not making sense. Yet you can argue it is adequate colling, but still, why do it just to save cost. Also, limit user from adding a closed enclosure (empty big paper packaging box with 2 side holes open for cooling PSU fan/MB fan and 1 big window hole for removing part ) if they decide to print ABS or higher temperature filament. It just makes me think twice before spending my money because large 3d print sizes are normally on sale around this price range.

Hello Friend, I bought a Sovol v6 60 days ago and I'm struggling with bed adhesion. The PEI is not holding the prints, and I even had to buy a new Hotend set for a complete replacement because plastic got stuck when detaching from the PEI, damaging the entire Hotend. Could you tell me what I can do? I'm almost considering throwing away this machine.
@bassam.2023 Жыл бұрын
It looks like the filament sensor is attached to the motherboard, and not to the hotend PCB. Can someone verify?
@redavatar Жыл бұрын
This printer is VERY similar to my Artillery Sidewinder X2 except the X2 can print a little higher (up to 40cm compared to 34cm for the Sovol). Otherwise, the Sovol has a few negatives (the power supply being outside the case for example and the position of the USB port) and a few positives (the rails & flex steel bed).
@jessejuliano8056 Жыл бұрын
You forgot the biggest positive between this and the sidewinder x2.. this is 30-40% cheaper. Which means if you are putting a farm together you can have significantly more printers for the same price.
