Thank you so much for this recommendation and the explanation. I personally prefer the *JS MIDI Sequencer MegaBaby* which has a slightly different workflow and which comes without installation of anything additional. And in my humble it has more features (and for my music I can't even think about making music anymore without the JSMSMB). But anyway ... it's always good to know alternatives. 🙂

Great! This will allow for way faster drum programming. Midi programming is such a pain! The step sequencer in Reason and FL allows me to create beats in minutes whereas in Ableton and Reaper I had to go trough so many tries.

This takes me back to fruity loops 😂 What this video made me realize is I would love to just single click midi notes in the normal midi editor, or have this style in place of the midi layout, but also being able to drag events to different notes (up or down a step). I haven’t tried this yet but it looks like you’re locked in horizontally?

Well I also single click midi notes in the normal midi editor, it is just a matter of configuring the "mouse modifiers" and say that a single left click will insert the note and voilà :)

Kenny just out of curiosity, is there any reason why Sower would be considered lesser than other sequencer plugins? I don't exactly plan on getting too experimental with samples, mostly just drums and keys for more vintage genres. No EDM or anything.

It would be nice to allow sower to load up note name lists as in the MIDI Editor. It should work both for non-GM drum kits or keyswitched instruments - but I couldn't code if my life depended on it.

Thanks Kenny. That's so useful that it writes to the midi editor, but when I use it for a pitched instrument, I can't get it to to play a sustained note or join/tie individual notes together like I can with Megababy. Is that possible with Sower ?

This video was great! I just have one problem, when selecting the sample from sower the sample name doesn't show up, just the note names. All the samples from samplomatic plays at the same time. Maybe I set up samplomatic wrong?

I don't understand? Why would you want to use this in stead of the midi editor? People might think that the midi editor is more complex or something? Well, you have more functionality in the editor, but it actually works much quicker, you don't have to install or add anything, you don't need to add channels either, just open it and go.

Why does the track name that I use have unique characters that are unreadable? Your track in the sower Extension says "multi". Yours is readable. Mine isn't. How do I fix this?
