The biggest irony here is that while the parliament clearly distains of colonialism they're speaking English. So sad the wider world will never see how defective, corrupt, idiotic and sad this is. While the old SA was flawed at least it was solvent, effective and understood the value of the term 'honourable' member.

Sir, we are forced to learn English AND Afrikaans in most public and private schools. We can still speak our native tongues, hence the accents. I can assure you that if we were to speak all 11 different languages, of which most whites only speak two at most, the white people would still complain.

The world speaks English as the dominant language because an empire that brought colonialisation/slavery etc, etc ALSO brought education, rule and order. I refute that even if one speak a different African language on 11 consecutive days in parliament there would be any benefit to ALL let alone the caucasian contingent who actually built it.
