It's going to be the most beautiful kitchen ever. I re-watched the kitchen planning episode again and now I can see it coming to life. Great job guys.

Everything is coming together beautifully. Your DYI projects are amazing and turning the house into your dream home that you both created by yourselves vs hiring contractors or others. Alot of hard work, long hours but your vision is coming to life...and so far its beautiful.

Oh my goodness, Alla! I am in awe of your flowers…I’m especially fond of dahlias… they’re just gorgeous! Your decision to focus on the garden early on is paying off in spades! Aren’t you guys just over the moon with how your kitchen tiles are turning out? I swear you are a visionary creative! When you are finished restoring your house will you ever accept paying guests? My daughter hasn’t been to Italy and I think she would fall in love with it, too, like I did many years ago!

Thank you! To have a bnb It's a requirement to make a touristic license for the house first, it would be possible only in a quite a distant future. But area is full of bnb anyway - so she can easily find accomodiation nearby. ❤

I have the same problem with Cats soiling my garden flower beds. When I cut my roses back, I use the clipping on the flower beds, as the cats don’t like anything with spikes. It has worked a treat for me. So when the weeds grow I just rack off the rose cuttings and weed, and then put the roses cuttings back on the flower beds. It is free and environment friendly.

I am truly enjoying your more interactive videos among you and Surgi your home and your life it creates a better viewing experience. It was so gratifying to watch you in your bedroom doing your day-to-day routines and as I watched you I’m thinking how far you have come you and Sergi from the beginning of your renovations when you started with a screwdriver trying to do the walls and floors I almost gave up right away watching because it was excruciating to see you struggle and put so much of your energy in such a futile way. In fact, I unsubscribed. Then I went back to watch you again, and I saw you making your life a little easier, better tools to help you make a smoother transition. So I subscribed again and I’m glad I did because I saw your growth and great accomplishments and how much you have learned the both of you and watching your personal growth. And got to know you more, even if it’s from a distance.😊 I can’t stress enough congratulations 🥂🍾in capital letters you made that house a home, and eventually a business and a place to entertain family and friends all around the world. Bravo, brava Alla & Sergie, just think the next phase of your renovations on the first and second floor will be a breeze compared to your main floor and I’m smiling right now I know it won’t be a breeze but it’ll be so much easier and so much more fulfilling to see it move along much faster. I do love your kitchen floor it’s looks amazing and your kitchen looks dreamy especially when it’s all finished sit back and enjoy your accomplishments you deserve it. 💝🌈🇨🇦

Halo Alla & Sergi. Floor is looking great. I could not imagine it at first. What a great idea to cut off big bottles to make some 'cloches" . How lucky you are to still get fresh flowers out of your garden. Here in southern Quebec, I'm just across the Vermont border, my flowers are all gone except for the large hydrangeas. I love watching your progress

Cherie is happy to be the only Project Manager now. 😉 She probably does miss Bruce, however 😢 When the tiles are finished you will look at them everyday and remember that it was a difficult project, but so satisfying. ☺️ The dahlias are amazing. They flourish when other flowers are done for the season 🌸

You guys really understand what the house needs to be beautiful. If you'd have taken all the imperfections out of those tiles you might as well have used new. It looks perfect, love watching.👍❤

I’m glad you did the grouts thing again. I think I missed it the first time and I couldn’t find the right video. It looks really good and hopefully a much easier process… though nothing is easy in these old homes.

I remember cutting bottles with a friend of my mother's when I was a child. The woman put a wire around the bottle and ran an electric current through the wire which made the glass click and break in the way you spoke of. I don't know what she used to send the electricity through the wire though. It was a little box with a knob on top that when she turned , the wire became red hot!

Love to see your hard work paying of, the kitchen floor is looking great. If you have no luck with glassbottles, you can cut of plastic bottles, in different sizes, to fit plants. I know, they are not as pretty as glass ones. Good luck.

When cutting glass never go over your cut more than once. After scoring the glass tap along the cut line gently and it should crack off. Dipping the glass cutter in a little oil makes it cut smoother. Good luck

Best non-toxic weed killer: 1 gallon white vinegar, 1 cup table salt, 2 to 3 Tbsp liquid dish soap. Let mixture sit in hand pump sprayer for 10 to 20 minutes for salt to dissolve. Works great for keeping weeds down on and around walkways. Works best on sunny days.
